Il Regno Segreto
Creative producer/archive coordinator

Il Regno Segreto (The Secret Reign) is an ambitious exhibition project dealing with a cultural survey on the relationship between Sardinia and Piemonte 300 years after the Savoy's arrival in Cagliari in 1720.

Working with the Sardinia Film Commission, I coordinated the archiving and digitalisation of an enormous collection of works and collaborated on the creative proposal for the 4 video installations. The beautiful stop motion and original artwork was created by the amazing team of Mira Video. Click here to check out Mira Video on Instagram

“If I’m still here in 10 years, shoot me now.” Not what you expect to hear from a young Californian living in Rome. This documentary is an atypical and candid insight into what the most famous city in the world really has to offer once a visitor becomes a resident. How much happiness can we draw from our surroundings if it requires us to make untenable compromises?

This film explores the lives of Rome’s Anglophone residents. All arrived from countries such as the UK, the US and Australia – places that conversely see huge numbers of Italian arrivals, all seeking a more stable future and some professional satisfaction.

Many thousands of Expats pour into Italy every year seeking this allusive lifestyle where the quality of life is famously attractive. The issue is that whilst Italy does offer a great deal, it is also a country fraught with corruption, bureaucratic inefficiency and economic stagnancy.
